Happy Birthday Luc!!!

It is so hard to believe the my little Luc is not so little anymore - 7 years old today!

And as you can see he did not get his two front teeth for Christmas OR his birthday. I am getting pretty used to that cute gap smile, I don't know if he will be quite as cute with teeth(Yes I am sure he will)!
So todays plans are out for pizza and ice cream and then present, if I can hold him off that long. I just love the simpleness of being 7!

As for the rest of the crew, we are surviving winter fairly well, Here is Micah and Dominic my two robbers in training( but the only thing they will be stealing is your heart).

Ok I am just a little too sappy today but I just love my kids. We are, however, ready for spring a little warmer weather, but none in the near future.

Micah is doing great at school. We are going to have him re-evaluated through our school system because of some of his attention problems and problems that he has falling down. We will see what comes from that. I am starting to lean more to Sensory Integration Disorder but we will see. He is coming along fairly well with the potty training too. We are hoping the daytime peeing in the pants is all but gone, but number two is still a battle. I am just happy with the little hurdles right now.

As for Sophia, paperwork is still a flying! We had our last home study visit this weekend and will be waiting for her to complete that. While we wait I am working on the I-800A paperwork that needs to be sent off to the US government. So it will all be waiting for the home study to arrive and off it will go in the mail. Next is the last of our dossier documents which should not be too bad. Once that all gets done, then the real waiting begins.

For all of you who have had a social worker come to your house for a home study or anything else, I have to include this story - it will make you so laugh.
At our last home study visit, our social worker had to speak with each one of the kids regarding the adoption, so when she was done with Russ and myself she decided to start with Luc who was in the other room playing with his hockey cards (the rest were with us in the family room). When she came back from talking to Luc, she said that she just wanted us to know that she just had a first in her interviewing experience, interviewing someone in their underware!!! Luc still had his cloths on from church and hates to wear pants with snaps or buttons. Well, he did not want to wear them anymore so he took them off but was afraid to go upstairs by himself to get new pants so he just played in his underware. Thankfully we have known our social worker for awhile and she knows us well, otherwise I would have been totally mortified! I had to laugh because this is the type of things that Luc does, he catches you so off guard that he just makes you laugh!

So there is your embarrassing experience forever in cyberspace! We love you Luc!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
